My team helped Dave and Denise buy this luxury Tridel-built condo in Pickering for her mother but unfortunately, things changed and they had to turn around and sell it just over 1 year later.

We were able to sell it for 7% more than what they paid for it, which more than covered the commission and legal fees. What’s more, it was one of our own buyers who ended up purchasing the apartment.

Tridel is the premier condo builder in Pickering and Durham Region, so whenever one is listed for sale, they are usually in high demand.

However, selling a condo apartment is different than selling a house. For showings with a house, you usually put a key inside a lockbox and place it on the front doorknob. However, for this Tridel condo, we had to make arrangements to put the key to the unit, the lobby door fob, and any fobs or keys for the rec facilities and lockers inside a lockbox and leave it with my contact info on the outside of the lockbox with the gatehouse security. Then when an agent contacts us to set up a showing, we have to co-ordinate it by contacting the seller to confirm the date and time, then contact the gatehouse security with that day, time and name of the agent. Finally, we have to confirm all of the above with the buyer’s agent.

Also, when we send our photographer (Ron) to take pictures and the virtual tour, we have to make sure he not only takes the pics/virtual tour of the unit itself, but also the lobby, outdoor gardens, tennis court, pool, and all the other amenities, not to mention the fact we want him to take pics of the different views from the apartment.
